I can’t believe six months has flown by, and here I sit, once again starting wedding season and what a better way to start than to travel to Hamilton, Ontario for Paul and Izabela’s Engagement photos. This will be my seventh year photographing weddings, and I have had the pleasure of working with some insanely amazing couples over that time. I first met Paul and Izabela when I flew to Peurto Vallarta, Mexico in 2011 for Neal and Ivana’s wedding, and I met Neal and Ivana in February of that same year at Courtney and Emily’s wedding. So you could say Paul and Izabela’s wedding has been at least four years in the making.
Paul joked with me during their engagement session that I had seemingly met my husband to be, gotten engaged, and married in the time it had taken Paul to propose. Be that as it may, these two have been steadily moving towards their wedding since we first met and I was honoured when they asked if I would join them in Hamilton in September to photograph the occasion at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. I don’t think I have actually spent anytime in Hamilton before their engagement session, and I was so excited to tour the city these two call home.
