Trevor and Ali’s Gananoque Cottage wedding was one for the books, which is good since from the moment I received their inquiry I had every hope that it would be. Trevor and Ali on Victoria Day in 2012. She was performing in a weekly sketch show at Comedy Bar in Toronto and Trevor was ‘bar-hopping’ in the area, dragged out by a couple of friends. They got to chatting and dancing, and at the end of the night, he got her number saying, “I promise I’ll call, but it wont be for a week. I’m flying to New York tomorrow to look for an apartment”. After texting back and forth the whole time Trevor was away, he mistakenly left his phone in the departure lounge at Newark airport, thereby losing her number and any hope of contacting her again. After arriving home, a friend suggested that Trevor post a Craigslist missed connection, and through a chain of friends of friends of friends seeing it, it was posted on Ali’s facebook wall and the rest is history.
Their entire vision for their wedding was to have an incredible party that also just happened to be about how much they loved one another. Nothing too posed or forced, just their love captured and the story of their wedding told. I hope I did that story the justice it deserves.
So these are to die for!!!
