When Kevin and Ashley first told me they were planning a surprise Drake wedding in Prince Edward County I was beyond excited. This was the first surprise wedding I have photographed and it did not disappoint.
Kevin and Ashley, are two of the happiest people I have met. Their love for each other bursts off their faces and you can just tell it’s meant to be.
They originally planned to elope at the Drake Devonshire in beautiful Prince Edward County. However, they figured if their guests arrived half an hour later for their party, they may be a tad sad they missed the wedding itself. Thus began their Surprise Drake wedding planning! They instead told everyone they were celebrating their engagement. Ashley welcomed guests and then casually slipped out to get dressed while Kevin began to pass out boutonnieres. While a few guests (Ashley’s mom being one of them) began to put it together, it was a genuine surprise. Kevin announced what was happening and invited guests to head to the beach to watch the ceremony.
There were very few dry eyes as guests watched Ashley make her way down the stairs in her Bohemian inspired wedding dress. All in all it was an amazing day!!
