I’m Cait, photographing weddings and elopements throughout Prince Edward County, Ontario. I’m also a parent, a pretty sentimental human, and someone whose love of photography was initially funded by her parents’ trips to Blacks.

I started studying photography in high school and made my parents print all my photos. Even the questionable ones. Those prints went straight into a photo album, because apparently I thought my early work needed preserving. The photos weren’t always incredible, but I loved making them—and having something I could hold onto afterwards.

I went on to study photojournalism and fell in love with weddings along the way. It makes sense, really. Weddings bring together everything I’m drawn to: people, stories, and emotion that doesn’t need much explaining. There’s a lot happening beyond the ceremony and the speeches, and I love paying attention to that, too.

You don’t need a big occasion to make pictures worth keeping. My high-school photo album can probably vouch for that.
